Yesterday we cleaned out the peony bed that had died back a month ago. I trimmed the stalks back to ground level. Adieu my beauties. Take time to check out the link below for more photos from bloggers participating in Today's Flowers
Wonderful picture from a beautiful plant. I have a tree peony in my garden. It is shrubby form of peony with woody stems and produces many flowers each year. - Cheers.
This flower is gorgeous as well as its colour! I don’t have it in my garden but I use to enjoy looking at those beautiful flowers even in pink colour which my neighbour grows. I didn’t know its name in English so I am now glad to get to know that. Thanks for sharing.

Such lovely beauty -
and you have already planted new peony bushes?
I bought an armful at today's farmers' market. They already have begun to fill my room with their fragrance! Peonies are my favorite flowers.
What a beautiful peony. I have a pale pink frilly variety, which is budding, but has yet to flower. x
