Isn't Lake Moomaw in/near Douthat State Park? I've been wanting to go there for decades. I used to date someone from Clifton Forge, so drove past the exit many times but never got to stop.
One of my favorite places around that area is Goshen Pass, at least I think it's in that vicinity-driving distance anyways. Gorgeous place.
thanks all ... took this with my nikon. will have to see if i can pull up the setting info Barb. i use a softness thing after i size my pics...i either did focus on the subject close at hand or it automatically did it. i usually have it on auto.
yes chesie..moomaw is near douthat.it is off exit 10 of highway 64 going toward west virginia and right close to the humpback bridge. it's one of my favorite areas and only 45 miles from us. our friend has property two miles from the lake...they are going to build there eventually. and it isn't far from west virginia which i love too.
Beautiful picture! I love the close-up of it with the green background.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind notes for Bucky on my blog. :)
Wow - I like this, too. Please tell what lens or setting you use occasionally - your photos always make me green with envy!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous. LOve the green.
