A few years ago we were in VA and visited Jamestown where an enactment was underway ... some of the enactors were staying at our hotel ..
Neat shots and the sepia is the perfect effect!
Nice, Erin! The sepia is perfect for this era of photos.

Perfect in sepia! Great shots!
Did you leave a comment on my blog this morning? I had one just signed "Erin" but I accidentally deleted it. =O
Fantastic photos, both here and on your Italian blog - really lovely. Technical question - just how do you make your photos this big?
Great photos and I love the sepia toning, sets the mood for the time period.
Sepia always sets a nice mood for Civil War photos. I'll ignore the historical inaccuracy of having late war Lee in that part of Virginia - he never was... :)
Erin, great photos and I agree with everyone else, the sepia makes them look so authentic! Nice job...Were you there on Saturday? We didn't make it till Sunday.
Looking forward to meeting you at the next meet up :)
Wonderful photos. We had a re enactment here (newport news) about a month ago but it got rained out. I love anything to do with the Civil War and especially enjoy Gettysburg, I will be up there in a couple of weeks for Memorial Day and from what I understand there will be some living history units there. I will be posting about it when I get back.
Can't think of anything to say except to echo others - the sepia is great. Nice shots.
That must have been a really interesting weekend. I've never been to one. Great photos Erin.
Oooh! My husband would have loved this. He's a history buff, especially of early American History.
I love how you made them sepia. It truly makes these series special and so realistic.
